SendPulse alternatives in 2026: who should switch and who should stay

Updated Data checked September 30 – October 6, 2026Compiled by the Which Email Tool editorial teamSources ↓

Why people look for SendPulse alternatives

The reasons that show up in SendPulse’s own plan table are specific. Dynamic segments need the Pro plan. At 2,500 and 5,000 subscribers other tools cost less. SMS is billed per message and chatbots beyond the free tier need their own plan. Pay-as-you-go credits expire. And a store that runs on purchase data may want an e-commerce tool instead.

  • Segmentation on Standard. Standard includes static segmentation; dynamic segmentation with saved segments starts on Pro.
  • Mid-size price. At 2,500 subscribers Standard costs $38 and at 5,000 $52; two tools here cost less at 2,500 and one at 5,000.
  • Extra channels cost extra. Beyond the free allowance, chatbots are a separate Pro plan priced by chatbot subscribers. SMS has no bundled allowance.
  • Free plan. It covers 500 contacts and 15,000 emails a month and keeps SendPulse branding in every email.

SendPulse alternatives compared on price

At 10,000 subscribers SendPulse Standard is the lowest price in this table and GetResponse Starter is nearly level with it. Below that the order changes: GetResponse is lowest at 2,500 and MailerLite at 5,000. Mailchimp and Klaviyo cost more than SendPulse at every size. Brevo charges by emails sent and Manychat by chat contacts, so neither has a row.

Cheapest paid plan of each tool, regular price per month with monthly billing. Sorted by price at 25,000 subscribers, the largest size shown; the lowest price in each column is marked. Checked on official pricing pages, September 30 – October 5, 2026.

Notes on these prices (3)
  • GetResponse. US dollar prices come from GetResponse’s own pricing data; its pricing page shows local currency to visitors outside the US. The smallest tier is 1,000 contacts.
  • Mailchimp. These are regular prices. The 1,000 row uses the 501–1,500 tier, so a list of up to 1,500 pays that price.
  • MailerLite. Unlimited emails need the Power plan: $39 at 1,000 subscribers and $129 at 10,000.

Price is only half of it. MailerLite Comfort, Mailchimp Essentials and Klaviyo’s Email plan cap monthly sends (Mailchimp bills sends over the cap rather than stopping them); SendPulse Standard and GetResponse Starter do not. A list mailed three times a week can outgrow a capped plan before it outgrows the price.

The best SendPulse alternatives

Each tool below is listed with the reason to choose it over SendPulse and the trade-off that comes with it. The email tools come first, in price order at 5,000 subscribers; Brevo follows because it charges by emails sent, and Manychat last because it is a chat tool rather than an email service.

MailerLite

Lowest here at 5,000; dynamic segments on every plan
At 2,500 subscribers
$33/moComfort
At 5,000 subscribers
$49/moComfort
At 10,000 subscribers
$89/moComfort
Emails on Comfort
10× contacts per month
Free plan
250 contacts, 2,500 emails/month

MailerLite answers two of the reasons above. It costs less than SendPulse at 2,500 and 5,000 subscribers, and its segmentation is not plan-gated. Dynamic segments and interest groups are unlimited on every plan, Free included. The trade-off is the send cap: Comfort includes 10× contacts per month, and unlimited sending needs its Power plan. Unlimited emails need the Power plan: $39 at 1,000 subscribers and $129 at 10,000. It lists no marketing SMS or messenger chatbots.

Strong points

  • Email-only product with a free plan
  • Low entry price at small list sizes

Limits

  • Free plan is limited to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month
  • No marketing SMS or messenger chatbots listed
  • Comfort plan caps sends at 10× contacts; unlimited sending needs the Power plan

GetResponse

At 5,000 subscribers
$54/moStarter
At 10,000 subscribers

Emails on Starter
unlimited emails
Free plan
500 contacts, 2,500 emails/month

GetResponse Starter has no send cap, like SendPulse Standard, and costs less at 2,500 subscribers. At 5,000 it costs more, and at 10,000 the two are close. The Starter plan includes one custom automation workflow. That is fewer flows than SendPulse Standard allows. What GetResponse adds is webinars. Live and on-demand webinars are listed on the Creator plan, not on Starter.

Strong points

  • Course creator and webinars alongside email
  • Unlimited sends on the Starter plan

Limits

  • SMS and transactional email need the Enterprise plan
  • No messenger chatbots listed

At 10,000 subscribers

Mailchimp is the switch to make when an app you depend on connects only to it. Mailchimp’s pricing table lists 300+ integrations on every plan. It costs more than SendPulse at every size and caps sends. Its AI assistant and advanced segmentation sit on Standard, the plan above Essentials. Intuit Assist, Mailchimp’s AI feature, is included at no extra cost on Standard and Premium and not on Essentials or Free; Mailchimp labels it beta, available to some users in select countries and in English only.

Strong points

  • Large directory of third-party integrations
  • Pay-as-you-go email credits are available

Limits

  • Free plan is capped at 250 contacts and 500 emails a month
  • Essentials limits sends to 10× your contact count

Klaviyo

At 10,000 subscribers

Klaviyo is built for shops: email and SMS share one customer profile fed by store data. It is the most expensive tool in this table at every size, and its Email plan caps sends at 10× profiles per month. Choose it when purchase-based flows are what you need and the store’s revenue carries the price.

Strong points

  • Deep e-commerce data model and store integrations
  • Email and SMS in one customer profile

Limits

  • Among the highest prices here from 10,000 profiles up
  • Free plan is limited to 250 profiles and 500 emails a month

Brevo

For big lists mailed rarely

5,000 emails a month
$18/moStandard
20,000 emails a month
$69/moStandard
Free plan
100,000 contacts, 300 emails/day

Brevo charges by emails sent, so a large list that gets one or two emails a month can cost less than on SendPulse. For 10,000 subscribers mailed twice a month, Brevo Standard’s 20,000-email tier is $69 (Starter: $32) against $78 on SendPulse Standard. Mailed weekly, the same list needs the 50,000-email tier at $97. Brevo’s prepaid credits do not expire, unlike SendPulse’s.

Strong points

  • Priced by emails sent, which suits lists that are mailed rarely
  • Prepaid email credits never expire
  • Transactional email and SMTP included on every plan

Limits

  • The 100,000-contact storage belongs to the free plan; the smallest paid tiers store far fewer contacts
  • Free plan sends only 300 emails a day
  • The bill rises with every extra send, so it cannot be compared with per-subscriber plans without knowing how often you mail
  • Telegram is not listed; WhatsApp sits on the Professional plan

Manychat

Manychat is the alternative when chatbots, not email, are the reason you use SendPulse. It is built around chat automation on Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, WhatsApp and Telegram, and it prices by active contacts rather than list size, so it has no row in the price table.

  • Channels. Manychat lists Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, WhatsApp, SMS and email as channels; Free and Essential connect any 2, Pro 3, and Business and Advanced an unlimited number.
  • Price. With monthly billing, Essential costs $17 a month with 250 active contacts, Pro $39 with 2,500, Business $99 with 7,500 and Advanced $199 with 25,000; contacts beyond the included number are billed per contact, and annual billing costs less. Manychat’s pricing page says the price is set by the billing country and does not include tax.
  • Billing unit. Manychat counts active contacts: each person who sends or receives a message through it in a monthly billing period counts once, however many messages are exchanged.
  • Free plan. The free plan covers 25 active contacts a month, 2 channels, up to 4 active automations and 1 user, with Manychat branding.
  • AI. AI-powered conversations are listed from the Pro plan up.

Manychat lists email as a channel but is not a newsletter tool, so a sender who moves chatbots there usually keeps a separate email service. SendPulse’s appeal for the same sender is that both sit in one account, with a free chatbot allowance: Chatbots have a free allowance of 3 chatbots, 500 chatbot subscribers and 10,000 messages a month.

Alternatives for SMS and messenger chatbots

SendPulse lists SMS and chatbots on four messengers. Among the alternatives, only Manychat covers the same messengers; Brevo lists SMS and puts WhatsApp on a higher plan, Klaviyo and Mailchimp list SMS, GetResponse keeps SMS for Enterprise, and MailerLite lists neither. If chat is the reason you are leaving, the choice is narrow.

SendPulse alternatives with a free plan

Brevo’s free plan stores by far the most contacts but limits sends by the day. GetResponse’s matches SendPulse on list size with fewer emails a month. MailerLite, Mailchimp and Klaviyo stop at smaller lists. Manychat’s free plan counts chat contacts, not subscribers, so it sits outside this table.

Stay with SendPulse if…

You mail your list weekly or more, your list is up to 1,000 or above 5,000 subscribers, or you use SMS and chatbots next to email. At those list sizes SendPulse Standard is the lowest price in this comparison, it has no send cap, and moving channels to separate tools means separate bills and logins.

The limits above are real. If you need dynamic segments, budget for Pro ($62.40 at 5,000 subscribers) or pick MailerLite. If your list is between 1,000 and 2,500 subscribers, GetResponse is the lowest price here; between 2,500 and 5,000, MailerLite is, with a send cap. The SendPulse review sets out what each plan includes.

Strong points

  • Email, SMS and chatbots for WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and Messenger run from one account
  • Standard plan includes unlimited emails at every list size
  • Separate free tiers for SMTP, chatbots and the course builder

Limits

  • Free plan stops at 500 subscribers and keeps SendPulse branding in emails
  • Pay-as-you-go email credits expire after 12 months
  • SMS is billed per message on top of the plan; none is bundled
  • Chatbots beyond the free allowance are a separate paid plan
  • A dedicated IP is listed only for the SMTP Pro and Enterprise plans

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to SendPulse?

It depends on why you are leaving. For a lower bill at 2,500 or 5,000 subscribers: GetResponse at 2,500 ($29) or MailerLite at 5,000 ($49), against $38 and $52 for SendPulse Standard. For dynamic segments on a low plan: MailerLite. For a large list mailed rarely: Brevo. For an online store: Klaviyo. For Instagram and WhatsApp chat automation: Manychat.

Is there a cheaper alternative to SendPulse?

At some list sizes. In this comparison GetResponse Starter is lowest at 2,500 subscribers and MailerLite Comfort at 5,000. At 1,000 and at 10,000 and above, SendPulse Standard is the lowest price here ($18 and $78). MailerLite Comfort caps sends at 10× contacts per month; SendPulse and GetResponse do not cap sends.

Is Mailchimp better than SendPulse?

Mailchimp’s pricing table lists a large integration directory on every plan, and Mailchimp includes AI and advanced segmentation on its Standard plan. It costs more at every list size: Essentials is $110 a month at 10,000 subscribers against $78 for SendPulse Standard, and it caps sends at 10× contacts per month.

What is a good SendPulse alternative for chatbots?

Manychat is built around chat automation on Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, WhatsApp and Telegram and charges by the people you talk to in a month, not by list size. It is not an email newsletter tool, so a sender who moves chatbots there still needs a separate email service.

Is there a SendPulse alternative with a bigger free plan?

Brevo’s free plan stores the most contacts in this comparison, 100,000 contacts, but sends only 300 emails a day. GetResponse’s covers 500 contacts and 2,500 emails a month. SendPulse’s covers 500 contacts and 15,000 emails a month, more emails a month than the other email tools here; MailerLite, Mailchimp and Klaviyo stop at smaller lists.
