SendPulse review 2026: features, pricing, pros and cons

Updated Data checked September 30 – October 5, 2026Compiled by the Which Email Tool editorial teamSources ↓

SendPulse review: the short verdict

SendPulse suits senders who mail their list often and want other channels in the same account. Its Standard plan has no send cap and costs less than Mailchimp Essentials at every size from 500 to 50,000 subscribers. It is not the lowest price everywhere: MailerLite Comfort costs less at 2,500 and 5,000. Dynamic segments need the Pro plan, and SMS and chatbots are paid separately.

This review is built from SendPulse’s own pricing and feature pages and those of the tools it is compared with, each with the date it was checked. It does not score the product and does not report on use of the app; it sets out what the plans include, what they cost and where the limits are, so you can decide whether those limits matter for your list.

What SendPulse is

SendPulse sells several products under one login: email campaigns, SMS, chatbots for WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and Messenger, transactional email over SMTP or API, a CRM and a course builder. Each product is priced on its own, and most have a free tier. The email plans are the part most buyers compare.

“Not listed” means the vendor’s official pricing or feature page does not mention it. Checked September 29, 2026.

Of the four tools in the table, only SendPulse lists both WhatsApp and Telegram chatbots. Brevo lists WhatsApp on its Professional plan, and Mailchimp and MailerLite list neither.

SendPulse pricing

The email product has a free plan and three paid plans, Standard, Pro and Enterprise, all priced by the number of subscribers and all without a cap on emails sent. Standard costs $18 a month at 1,000 subscribers, $52 at 5,000 and $78 at 10,000, on monthly billing.

SendPulse paid plans, regular price per month with monthly billing, before tax. A list size between two tiers is priced at the tier that contains it. Checked on the official pricing page, October 5, 2026.

Yearly billing is 20% off the monthly price and six-month billing 10% off.Enterprise requires a list of at least 2,500 contacts.

The free plan covers 500 contacts and 15,000 emails a month. Of the four free plans in this review it allows the most emails a month; Brevo’s stores far more contacts but limits sends by the day. For senders who mail in bursts, SendPulse also sells pay-as-you-go email credits, which expire after 12 months. The SendPulse pricing page breaks every plan down by list size.

Features: automation, segmentation, AI and CRM

The features most buyers ask about sit on different plans. Automation flows are on every plan, Free included, with more flows as you go up. Static segments come with Standard; segments that update themselves need Pro. The AI assistant has a free allowance and then needs a paid plan or your own model key. The CRM is a separate product with its own free plan.

Automation. SendPulse calls its builder Automation 360. Automation 360 flows by email plan: 5 on Free, 10 on Standard, 50 on Pro and unlimited on Enterprise, with 50, 70, 150 and unlimited elements per flow.

Segmentation. Standard includes static segmentation; dynamic segmentation with saved segments starts on Pro. This is the clearest gap on the Standard plan: MailerLite includes dynamic segments even on its free plan, and Mailchimp starts its advanced segmentation on Standard, the plan above Essentials.

AI. A built-in AI assistant writes, translates and edits email copy and builds automations; the first 200 AI requests are free, after which AI needs a paid plan or the free trial plus your own API key for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or DeepSeek, with token usage billed separately.

CRM and users. CRM is a separate product with a free plan: the account owner plus up to 4 invited users, up to 2 sales pipelines and 5 Automation 360 flows. Standard allows 3 users per account, Pro 10 and Enterprise an unlimited number.

What each paid plan adds. Standard adds unlimited emails, static segmentation, A/B tests, scheduled sending, payments in emails and no SendPulse branding; Pro adds re-engagement emails, dynamic segmentation, email verification and a dedicated onboarding coordinator; Enterprise adds unlimited sender addresses, automation flows and users, a full A/B testing suite and dedicated support.

Integrations. The email pricing page lists integrations with Make, Zapier, WordPress, Shopify and Creatio, plus an API and webhooks. For comparison, Mailchimp’s pricing table lists 300+ integrations on every plan. Check that your store or booking tool connects before you move.

Support and deliverability: what is published

SendPulse’s pricing page lists round-the-clock live chat and email support on its email plans, with dedicated support on Enterprise. On deliverability, none of the four pricing pages checked for this review lists an inbox-placement figure that could be compared, and this review has not measured one. What decides placement is mostly on your side.

SendPulse: The email pricing page lists 24/7 live chat and email support; Enterprise adds dedicated support. Mailchimp: Support per plan: email for the first 30 days on Free, 24/7 email and chat on Essentials and Standard, phone and priority support on Premium. MailerLite: Support by plan: community only on Free, 24/7 email on Comfort and 24/7 live chat and email on Power.

Three things matter more than the choice of tool: a sending domain authenticated with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, a list that opted in, and a steady sending rhythm. Among SendPulse’s published limits, a dedicated IP is listed only for the SMTP Pro and Enterprise plans.

SendPulse pros and cons

The strengths and the limits both come from the plan tables. The strengths are the absence of a send cap on paid email plans, several channels in one account and separate free tiers. The limits are plan-gated segmentation, add-on pricing for SMS and chatbots, expiring credits and a price that is not the lowest at every list size.

Two more cons that the list below does not spell out. At 2,500 and 5,000 subscribers MailerLite Comfort costs less ($49 against $52 at 5,000), though Comfort caps sends at 10× contacts per month. And dynamic segmentation, which MailerLite gives away on its free plan, starts on SendPulse Pro at $62.40 for 5,000 subscribers.

Strong points

  • Email, SMS and chatbots for WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and Messenger run from one account
  • Standard plan includes unlimited emails at every list size
  • Separate free tiers for SMTP, chatbots and the course builder

Limits

  • Free plan stops at 500 subscribers and keeps SendPulse branding in emails
  • Pay-as-you-go email credits expire after 12 months
  • SMS is billed per message on top of the plan; none is bundled
  • Chatbots beyond the free allowance are a separate paid plan
  • A dedicated IP is listed only for the SMTP Pro and Enterprise plans

SendPulse vs Mailchimp, Brevo and MailerLite

Against Mailchimp, SendPulse costs less at every list size and has no send cap, while Mailchimp lists a larger integration directory and puts its AI assistant, labelled beta, on its Standard plan. Against MailerLite, SendPulse is lower at 1,000 and from 10,000 up, higher at 2,500 and 5,000, and equal at 500. Brevo charges by emails sent, so the answer depends on how often you mail.

Brevo is priced by emails sent, so it has no single price at a list size and is not ranked above. We compare its Standard plan. Starter costs less at the same volume but stops at 100,000 emails a month, limits automation to 2,000 contacts and keeps the Brevo logo unless you pay to remove it. The tier is set by emails sent and by stored contacts: the three smallest tiers hold 500, 1,500 and 2,500 contacts, and every tier from 20,000 emails up holds 500,000. Standard stops at 500,000 emails a month. Your tier is the first one that covers both the emails you send in a month and the size of your list.

For a list of 10,000 mailed twice a month, Brevo Standard’s 20,000-email tier costs $69 (Starter: $32) against $78 for SendPulse Standard. Mailed weekly, the same list needs Brevo Standard’s 50,000-email tier at $97. The SendPulse vs Mailchimp comparison covers that pair in more depth.

Who should use SendPulse, and who should not

Use SendPulse if you mail your list weekly or more, if your list is up to 1,000 or above 5,000 subscribers, or if you want SMS and messenger chatbots next to email. Look elsewhere if you need dynamic segments on the cheapest paid plan, if your list sits between about 1,000 and 5,000, or if a tool you rely on connects only to Mailchimp.

  • SendPulseYou mail often, your list is up to 1,000 or above 5,000 subscribers, or you want SMS and chatbots in the same account as email.
  • MailerLiteYour list is between about 1,000 and 5,000 subscribers, its send allowance covers how often you mail, or you want dynamic segments on a free or low plan.
  • BrevoYou email a large list once or twice a month, so paying per email sent costs less than paying per subscriber.
  • MailchimpA tool you depend on connects only to Mailchimp, or you want AI and advanced segmentation in one plan and accept a higher price.

The SendPulse alternatives page goes through these and other tools by the reason you might leave.

Frequently asked questions

Is SendPulse good for email marketing?

It is a strong fit for senders who mail often: the Standard plan counts subscribers, not emails, and costs $78 a month at 10,000 subscribers. It fits less well if you need dynamic segments on the cheapest plan (they start on Pro) or if your list is between about 1,000 and 5,000 subscribers, where MailerLite Comfort costs less.

Is SendPulse cheaper than Mailchimp?

Yes, at every list size we track, comparing SendPulse Standard with Mailchimp Essentials on monthly billing: $18 against $26.50 at 1,000 subscribers and $78 against $110 at 10,000. Essentials also caps sends at 10× contacts per month; SendPulse Standard has no cap.

Does SendPulse have AI features?

Yes. A built-in assistant writes, translates and edits email copy and builds automations. A set number of requests is free; after that AI needs a paid plan or the free trial plus your own API key for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or DeepSeek, with tokens billed by that provider.

Is SendPulse good for a small business?

For a small list mailed weekly, yes: the free plan covers 500 contacts and 15,000 emails a month, and Standard costs $18 a month at 1,000 subscribers with no send cap. Transactional email and a CRM have free tiers in the same account. Check that your shop or booking tool connects, directly or through Zapier or Make.

What are the downsides of SendPulse?

Dynamic segmentation starts on Pro, not Standard. MailerLite Comfort costs less at 2,500 and 5,000 subscribers. SMS is billed per message and chatbots beyond the free allowance need their own plan. Pay-as-you-go email credits expire after 12 months. The free plan keeps SendPulse branding in every email.

How does SendPulse compare to Brevo on price?

Brevo charges by emails sent, SendPulse by list size. For 10,000 subscribers mailed twice a month, Brevo Standard’s 20,000-email tier costs $69 (Starter: $32) against $78 for SendPulse Standard. Mailed weekly, Brevo Standard moves to the 50,000-email tier at $97.
