SendPulse free plan limits in 2026

SendPulse’s free email plan covers 500 contacts and 15,000 emails a month. That is enough to mail a full list several times a week. The other limits are features: automation is capped at a small number of flows, the number of sender addresses is capped, and every email carries SendPulse branding.

SendPulse’s automation builder is called Automation 360. Automation 360 flows by email plan: 5 on Free, 10 on Standard, 50 on Pro and unlimited on Enterprise, with 50, 70, 150 and unlimited elements per flow. The free email plan allows 3 sender addresses; Standard raises it to 100.

The pricing page lists what each paid plan adds over the one below it. Read the Standard list as the things the free plan does not have:

Standard adds unlimited emails, static segmentation, A/B tests, scheduled sending, payments in emails and no SendPulse branding; Pro adds re-engagement emails, dynamic segmentation, email verification and a dedicated onboarding coordinator; Enterprise adds unlimited sender addresses, automation flows and users, a full A/B testing suite and dedicated support.

So A/B tests, scheduled sending and static segmentation are paid features, along with removing the branding.

What else is free in a SendPulse account

The same account holds several products, each with its own free tier: transactional email over SMTP or API, chatbots for messengers, a course builder and a CRM. The SMTP tier has its own monthly limit, separate from the campaign allowance. An AI assistant is also included up to a fixed number of requests.

“Not listed” means the vendor’s official pricing or feature page does not mention it. Checked September 29, 2026.

The table lists the free SMTP tier and the free course-builder tier. Chatbots have a free allowance of 3 chatbots, 500 chatbot subscribers and 10,000 messages a month. Beyond the free allowance, chatbots are a separate Pro plan priced by chatbot subscribers.

CRM is a separate product with a free plan: the account owner plus up to 4 invited users, up to 2 sales pipelines and 5 Automation 360 flows.

A built-in AI assistant writes, translates and edits email copy and builds automations; the first 200 AI requests are free, after which AI needs a paid plan or the free trial plus your own API key for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or DeepSeek, with token usage billed separately.

For a small business this matters more than the email limits alone: password resets and order emails can go through the free SMTP tier without using the campaign allowance, and a messenger chatbot can run on the same account.

What happens when you outgrow the free plan

The usual exit is the subscriber limit. The next step is the Standard plan, priced by list size with no cap on emails: $18 a month at 1,000 subscribers and $38 at 2,500, billed monthly. A sender who mails rarely can buy pay-as-you-go credits instead, but they expire.

Of the free plans on this page, SendPulse’s allows the most emails a month, and its paid plan keeps that property: Standard counts subscribers, not sends. At 1,000 subscribers Standard is the lowest price here among the plans priced by list size. At 2,500 it is not: MailerLite Comfort costs less ($33 against $38), though Comfort caps sends at 10× contacts per month.

Strong points

  • Email, SMS and chatbots for WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and Messenger run from one account
  • Standard plan includes unlimited emails at every list size
  • Separate free tiers for SMTP, chatbots and the course builder

Limits

  • Free plan stops at 500 subscribers and keeps SendPulse branding in emails
  • Pay-as-you-go email credits expire after 12 months
  • SMS is billed per message on top of the plan; none is bundled
  • Chatbots beyond the free allowance are a separate paid plan
  • A dedicated IP is listed only for the SMTP Pro and Enterprise plans

Pay-as-you-go suits a list that gets an occasional announcement rather than a regular newsletter. The pay-as-you-go column in the channel table above gives the credit price and how long credits last. Annual billing costs less than the monthly prices quoted here.

SendPulse vs MailerLite, Mailchimp and Brevo free plans

No free plan here leads on both limits. SendPulse allows the most emails a month (15,000 emails a month). Brevo stores the most contacts by far, 100,000 contacts, against 500 contacts on SendPulse, but it caps sending by the day. MailerLite and Mailchimp both stop at 250 contacts, and Mailchimp allows the fewest emails.

Brevo100,000300 / dayYesunused daily sends do not roll over
MailerLite2502,500 / monthYes
Mailchimp250500 / monthYesalso capped at 250 sends a day

Brevo’s daily cap is 300 emails a day, which comes to about 9,000 emails in a 30-day month if you send every single day. Unused sends do not roll over, and one campaign cannot go past a day’s limit, so a large list on Brevo’s free plan is mailed in batches over several days.

Two differences the tables do not show. MailerLite’s free plan includes dynamic segments, which SendPulse keeps for its Pro plan. On MailerLite: Dynamic segments and interest groups are unlimited on every plan, Free included. On SendPulse: Standard includes static segmentation; dynamic segmentation with saved segments starts on Pro. Mailchimp’s free plan has further restrictions: The Free plan has a daily cap of 250 sends, no email scheduling, a limited template selection, one seat and one audience, email support for the first 30 days, and the Mailchimp badge stays on emails.

Is the SendPulse free plan enough?

It is enough for a list that is still small and mailed often: a weekly or twice-weekly newsletter, a welcome series and a few automated flows fit within the limits. It stops being enough when the list passes the subscriber limit, when emails have to go out without SendPulse branding, or when you need A/B tests, scheduled sending or dynamic segments.

Look elsewhere if your contact list is already large and you can live with mailing it in daily batches (Brevo), or if you want dynamic segmentation and a landing page on a free plan from an email-only tool (MailerLite). If a tool you depend on connects only to Mailchimp, its free plan is small but may still be the practical start.

  • BrevoYou already have thousands of contacts and send small batches, or you want transactional email inside the same free plan.
  • MailerLiteYou want dynamic segments, a landing page and a website builder on a free plan, and your list fits under its smaller free subscriber limit.
  • MailchimpAn app you rely on integrates only with Mailchimp, and you can work within a very small free plan with no automation.

Frequently asked questions

What are the SendPulse free plan limits in 2026?

The free email plan covers 500 contacts and 15,000 emails a month. It includes automation up to 5 flows, keeps SendPulse branding in emails and caps the number of sender addresses. Transactional email (SMTP), chatbots and the course builder have free tiers of their own; SMTP alone allows 12,000 emails/month.

Does the SendPulse free plan include automation?

Yes: 5 flows, each with a limited number of elements. Standard raises the number of flows, and Pro and Enterprise raise it again. Of the free plans compared here, Mailchimp’s has no automation at all, and MailerLite’s allows 3 automations, 5 steps each.

Does the SendPulse free plan put SendPulse branding in emails?

Yes. Free emails carry SendPulse branding, and removing it is one of the things the paid Standard plan adds. MailerLite, Brevo and Mailchimp do the same on their free plans.

Which is better, the SendPulse, MailerLite, Brevo or Mailchimp free plan?

It depends on which limit you hit first. SendPulse allows the most emails a month here (15,000 emails a month) on a list of 500 contacts. Brevo stores the most contacts (100,000 contacts) but sends only 300 emails a day. MailerLite covers 250 contacts and 2,500 emails a month, and Mailchimp 250 contacts and 500 emails a month.

How much does SendPulse cost after the free plan?

The Standard plan is priced by list size and includes unlimited emails: $18 a month at 1,000 subscribers and $38 at 2,500, billed monthly. Senders who mail rarely can buy pay-as-you-go email credits instead of a monthly plan.
